Anjali is an Indian actress and model who primarily works in Tamil and Telugu movies. She was born on June 16, 1986. After working briefly as a model, she was cast in leading roles in two Telugu productions. Her first film was the thriller Photo (2006) in Telugu, and she later gained popularity for her part in Jiiva’s Kattradhu Thamizh (2007). She was recognised as one of the “finest young actors” in Tamil film and was noted for mostly taking on “performance-oriented roles” after winning the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Tamil in 2010 and 2011 for her performances in Angaadi Theru and Engaeyum Eppothum, respectively.
